Melbourne’s summer music calendar is about to get a dose of European festival flavour as ATET and Flow Music combine forces this February.
Leading the charge for us on this floating wonderland will be German house music and rave pioneer Madmotormiquel, a musical revolutionary who is synonymous with everything the Berlin house music parade has been known for, thanks to his events with Bachstelzen. Alongside his own label URSLRecords, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Katermukke, John Digweed and Tim Green, as well as festivals The Gardens of Babylon, Utopia and Moga Festival.
Joining him will be melodic maverick Seth Schwarz who will be bringing his mighty bangers of truly symphonic dimensions to town. Seth incorporates elements of house, techno and electronica, while improvising with his violin for an emotional imprint, creating a unique signature on the virtual world of sound. His powerful productions have been moving dancefloors across the world, including Burning Man, BOOM Festival and Tomorrowland, as well as musical creations and collaborations for labels such as All Day I Dream, Katermukke, Gabriel Ananda and Monkey Safari.
Fellow German Franca is set to heat up the dancefloor energetic, creative and groove-driven DJ sets. Playing on the fringes of techno and house, she is as tight on the controls as she is playful in her storytelling. Franca’s devoted approach to her work, cannot only be heard in her continuing development as a DJ but also in her rising qualities as a producer, which have seen her play at festivals such as The Monastery and recently join the Katerblau family.
We also welcome Dutch native Joep Mencke, whose deep and melodious tracks, intertwined with organic sounds of nature, create a compelling and explorative experience. His sets at Burning Man, The Gardens of Babylon, Moga Festival and Afrikaburn alongside his club residency at KUN in Istanbul, epitomise how his music radiates happiness, bringing people together across the globe. Last year he also released his debut album Unalome - symbolising the path to enlightenment in Buddhism - which embodies his purpose to use music as a transformative tool.
Melbourne-come-Amsterdam local Deep Ghosh, is no stranger to expressing himself to the global music world, with selections of unabashed love of emotional, vocal melodies juxtapositioned to the deeper end of the sonic spectrum. Deep is one of the curators of the Flow Sessions long-format mix series and is also co-organiser, curator and "rave engineer" of boutique gatherings such as UTOPIA Festival, as well as Burner and underground gatherings in Berlin and Amsterdam.
Melbourne’s own brand of spice Sriracha will be joining Deep for a saucy B2B, incorporating a sexy plethora of sounds throughout her sets that turn the crowd ON. You’ll catch her layering deep bass lines, saucy synths and tribal organic sounds with melodic and worldly undertones. Sriracha regularly spices up dance floors throughout Melbourne, Byron and has had the pleasure of performing at many major festivals like Strawberry Fields, Rainbow Serpent, CHI WOW WAH TOWN, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks
